A social media influencer has secured High Court orders requiring Facebook to identify anonymous people she claims are trolling, defaming and stalking her online.

Lisa McGowan, a fashion blogger who runs the Lisa’s Lust List website, claims that she and her business are being harassed and defamed online by people she has been unable to identify.

In order to sue them she has sought orders against Facebook Ireland Ltd to help her identify the person or people behind posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Ms Justice Niamh Hyland said yesterday that she was satisfied from the evidence put before the court that Ms McGowan was entitled to a “Norwich Pharmacal” order.

The order requires Facebook Ireland Ltd to provide her with details about the account holders
