Meghan and Harry’s charity Archewell raised less than $50,000 in its first year

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell charity raised less than $50,000 in 2020, American tax returns revealed — less than their charities spent on legal fees.

It opened a bank account last January, the couple’s lawyers said. It received its first deposit the following month, according to filings seen by the Daily Mail.

In the UK the couple’s now-defunct charity Sussex Royal spent more than £42,000 on legal fees between June 2020 and June last year.
