Fine Jeremy Corbyn for breaching rule of six, Labour MP insists

A Labour frontbencher has called for Jeremy Corbyn to pay a fine after he was pictured breaking the rule of six.

A photograph published by The Sun showed the former Labour leader attending a dinner party of nine people, reported to be left-wing activists.

He told the paper: “I understand that remaining at the dinner was a breach of the rule of six. I apologise for my mistake.”

Rosena Allin-Khan, a shadow health minister who also served under Mr Corbyn, told Times Radio: “Of course he should pay a fine. Anyone that breaks the law should pay a fine. I am glad that he has apologised. That was the right thing to do.”
