'USE YOUR IMAGINATION': Gutsy NSW estate agent lists strip of land for staggering price tag

It is not much wider than your average footpath but the seller says everything has a use.

Laneway in Coffs Harbour for sale

Some might call it a real estate ripoff - a tiny laneway on the New South Wales north coast which has been listed for an eye-watering sum.

The strip of land at Lot F Bonville Street on the outskirts of Coffs Harbour is not much wider than a footpath but carries an asking price of $69,000.

The block, which is “more accurately described as a laneway” according to the listing, measures only 2.69m wide and 50.3m long or more than 144sqm.

Selling points include the fact that the area is fenced all the way around, a gated entrance and double street frontage, but no building entitlements.

It’s not clear laneway could possibly be used for - but the real estate agent has one suggestion - “USE YOUR IMAGINATION”.

“Unclear what you would use it for but everything or any block of land has a use and value to someone,” the listing reads.

Agent Mark Killian told realestate.com.au that he was confident it would be sold.

Killian said he had already fielded some inquiries, with one UK buyer showing interest to use the land as a site for a cubby house.
