The only two black officers seen in a policing campaign to celebrate diversity and encourage recruitment were from Bermuda, The Times has learnt.

The pair appeared in a film by the Police Superintendents’ Association (PSA) entitled “Together we’re different, as one we serve” alongside white, Asian and Welsh officers.

While the other officers were from British forces the two black officers are on the senior management team of the Bermudan force.

The PSA, which represents detectives and senior officers, said its membership was open to officers from Bermuda Police as well as those in the 43 forces in England and Wales, British Transport Police, the Civil Nuclear Constabulary and Isle of Man Police.
