The only hotel and public bar on the Hebridean Isle of Jura, where George Orwell wrote Nineteen Eighty-Four, is up for sale at offers over £1.2 million.

The Jura Hotel in Craighouse is a favourite with locals and visitors. The island is a favoured haunt of the former prime minister David Cameron.

After 11 years the owners, Andy and Cath McCallum, have decided it is time to try something new.
