President Trump joked that a senior adviser should move to North Korea for the good of America after Kim Jong-un winked at her during a summit.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, 38, the White House press secretary for two years until July last year, describes the incident in 2018 in a new memoir. At the summit in Singapore, the first time that US and North Korean leaders had met, Mrs Sanders said that Mr Kim, 36, “made direct eye contact and nodded and appeared to wink at me”. She said she was stunned. “I quickly looked down and continued taking notes.”
