A dancer who starred as Billy Elliot and performed for the Queen has told a court that a police officer stamped on his leg during an allegedly unnecessary stop-and-search.

Alex Loxton played Billy at the Victoria Palace Theatre, in central London, starred with Keira Knightley and Dame Helen Mirren in Disney’s The Nutcracker and danced for the Queen at her 80th birthday party.

He has now claimed that his career has stalled as a result of ankle injuries suffered in the allegedly aggressive search by police in 2016.

Mr Loxton, 32, told Central London county court that he also suffered hurt feelings in addition to being left with lasting damage to his left ankle after it was allegedly stamped on by a PC.
